OneStream Technical Consultant (Integration Specialist)

As a valued member of our global team of digital transformation experts, you will closely collaborate with clients, providing invaluable advisory services, implementing innovative tech solutions, and ensuring flawless operations.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OneStream Technical Consultant with strong expertise in system integration and data management. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting OneStream solutions with a primary focus on integrating external systems such as ERP platforms, data warehouses, third-party applications, and cloud services.
You will work closely with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure end-to-end data flow, performance, and accuracy across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with OneStream APIs, business rules, data integration workflows, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
OneStream Platform Development
Design, build, and maintain OneStream application components including:
Data management workflows
Integration pipelines
Business rules (VB.NET)
Dashboarding and reporting solutions related to integrations
An understanding of cube configurations, dimensions, and metadata
Implement and optimize Data Management sequences, Extenders, and Load Rules for scalable and automated processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the OneStream platform, performance, and data accuracy.
Integration & Data Architecture
Lead the design and implementation of interfaces between OneStream and external systems, including:
ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, etc.)
Data warehouses / lakes
HR systems
Source GLs and transaction systems
Cloud platforms or custom APIs
Develop and maintain extract/transform/load (ETL) processes using OneStream tools, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, ODBC/OLE DB connections, and flat-file integrations.
Ensure data quality, transformation logic, and mapping rules are properly defined and validated.
Build reusable integration frameworks and best practices for future projects.
Technical Leadership
Collaborate with finance and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze source systems, and design scalable integration solutions.
Advise clients or internal teams on OneStream technical standards, version upgrades, and architectural improvements.
Mentor peers and junior consultants on OneStream development and integration patterns.
Participate in project planning, solution design workshops, technical documentation, and testing cycles.
Support & Continuous Improvement
Monitor data loads, schedules, and automation jobs; proactively resolve failures or performance issues.
Document technical designs, integration specifications, and operational procedures.
Support production environments, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and performance of OneStream processes.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience developing in OneStream XF, including:
Rules (VB.NET and/or C#)
Extenders, Load Rules, Calculation Rules, and Event Handlers
Data Management Workflows
Cube Views, Quick Views, and Dashboarding
Proven experience integrating with external systems through:
SQL queries and stored procedures
API integrations (REST/SOAP)
ODBC/OLE DB connectors
File-based integrations (CSV, XML, Excel)
Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
Experience with financial consolidation, planning, or reporting tools.
Understanding of finance processes (GL, AP/AR, FP&A, consolidations) is preferred.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
OneStream Certified Professional (OCS, OCP, or relevant certifications).
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Knowledge of data integration tools.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Prior consulting experience in finance technology.
Soft Skills

Client-facing or stakeholder management experience.
